The Commission of the European Communities, DG XIII, intends to launch in the near future a study with regard to the use of satellites for business communications. The study is to quantify the current and future potential market for interactive business communications in all parts of Europe and to examine the effect of the regulatory climate on the realisation of this potential. It is to be undertaken in the context of the discussion on the "Green paper on a common approach in the field of satellite communications in the European Communities" (COM(90) 490), and policy guidelines as expressed in the Council Resolution of 19.12.1991 "on the development of the common market for satellite communications services and equipment". Invitations to tender will be sent, by 20 May 1992, to those organizations submitting an expression of interest.Contact: Commission of the European Communities Directorate-General for Telecommunication, Information Industries and Innovation, DG XIII/D Attn.
