PHARE: Study of environment, Germany
A notice of invitation to apply for admission to a restricted tender for a project financed by the Commission of the European Communities concerns a study of the improvement of the environment in the Upper Elbe valley (PHARE project No 90/058/030/001): - Lot 1: Analysis and evaluation of atmospheric and traffic noise emissions and immissions in the Upper Elbe valley and of relief or preventive measures aimed at improving the overall environment. - Lot 2: Report on the state of the groundwater in the Elbauer Torgau, with particular regard to munitions waste inherited from Wasag, as a basis for pollution-reduction and hazard prevention measures and as a precondition for safeguarding the supply of drinking water to Halle and Leipzig in central Germany. Participation is open to natural and legal persons of the EC Member States and of the countries eligible for the PHARE programme.
