Creating Science Based Start-ups

The Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals (ASTP) is organising the third annual seminar on Creating Science Based Start-Ups on (Wednesday the 9th,) Thursday the 10th and Friday the 11th of October May 2002 at the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland.

Plenary sessions led by experienced speakers from Europe as well as the US and Israel will cover a wide range of subjects. The conference will highlight the most recent developments to date and every day problems from the very first identification of a start-up opportunity towards the final realisation.
Key themes of this event will be:,- practice models and the organisation of a TTO,- from technology to business plan,- early stage investments,- management: profiles and recruitment,- due diligence / term sheets,- valuation and structuring considerations,- license agreements,- shareholder agreements,- locating your start-up,- classic things that go wrong
The conference will be preceded by an optional social program on Wednesday afternoon with a visit to the ETH and a guided tour through Zurich.,The event hopes to attract around 120 people related to technology transfer within Europe and Israel.
