Harmony: A network system supporting technology commercialisation
The Harmony System has been developed by a consortium of network technology incubators, consultants, and specialist software developers from Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Finland and Australia as a project funded under the EU Esprit Program. The System is designed to be used by coaches or case managers who work in incubators and who support entrepreneurs to take their technology ideas to the international marketplace. It uses an international database that is accessed through a web browser over a secure link and provides valuable benefits for users. Functionalities include a case management and reporting system that allows transparency and control in incubator operations. It enables networking across the international user group that allows coaches to learn from each other and to support commercialisation of technologies across borders and continents. It includes a well-tested best practice support process that can be tailored to suit the needs of an individual user and company, as well as a knowledge library dealing with incubation processes and technology commercialisation. It includes an international database of experts in a range of fields to support commercialisation. The Harmony System includes an on-line training and accreditation system that caters for the professional development needs of coaches internationally. The launch of the Harmony System will be a special event for technology incubator managers, commercialisation experts, potential Harmony distributors, investors and representatives of government agencies from around the world. It will be an outstanding opportunity to become part of the Harmony network of leaders in business incubation and technology commercialisation, to learn about the details of the Harmony System and to meet the people who made the Harmony Project.
