19th EAN WORKSHOP jointly organised with the PODIUM project
26 November 2019 - 29 November 2019
Athens, Greece
Hosted by the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) in Athens, Greece, the 19th workshop of the European ALARA Network (EAN) will be a joint meeting with the PODIUM (Personal Online Dosimetry Using Computational Methods) project consortium. The first day of the joint workshop will be dedicated to presenting the main results of PODIUM, a project of the Horizon 2020-funded CONCERT European Joint Programme for the Integration of Radiation Protection Research.
During this joint workshop emphasis will be placed on how exposed workers can be trained by using real-time dose results to effectively apply the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle. The main aim of the PODIUM project is the development of an online dosimetry application based on computer simulations without the use of physical dosimeters.
