The European Biofuels Technology Platform (EBTP) is organising its second stakeholder meeting on 22 January 2009 in Brussels, Belgium.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to present recent activities to support the implementation of the 'Strategic research agenda & strategic deployment document' (SRA/SDD), including many presentations on pilot and demonstration plants for sustainable biofuels and innovative bioenergy value chains.
The event will also address the Strategic Energy Technology (SET) plan proposed by the European Commission and endorsed by the Energy Council in February 2008, discussing the challenges of demonstrating the feasibility of the most promising technologies within the framework of the European Industrial Initiative on Bio-Energy (EII-B). Demonstration has been identified by EBTP SRA/SDD as a critical step in achieving the EU's ambitious goals for biofuels as part of its energy and climate policy.For further information, please visit:
