"New frontiers in computational chemistry: impact of parallel computing on the chemical and pharmaceutical industry" is the title of a conference to be held in Strasbourg, France, on 28-29 November 1995.

The conference is being organized by the European Commission and will bring together industry scientists and academics from the EUROPORT2 consortia to demonstrate the benefits of the use of parallel computing in computational chemistry and biology for industrial R&D. Among the topics to be covered are:

- Increased capacities and new capabilities through parallel computing;
- Perspectives in supramolecular chemistry: towards molecular information processing and self-organization;
- Environmental molecular science and high performance computing;
- High performance computing and human genome research;
- Smart computational chemistry: the intelligent materials systems challenge.
