Clinical Evidences and Polyphenols Valorisation from Fruits & Vegetables Waste will be Showcased during Paris Polyphenols 2012
The 6th world Congress on Polyphenols Applications will be held in Paris in June 7 & 8, 2012.
Polyphenols in human health have gained worldwide interest and the knowledge about the relationship between their consumption and health improvement is constantly growing. ISANH Scientific Committee believes that polyphenols will play a central role in the prevention of many chronic diseases.
Under the patronage of the International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition and Health (ISANH), the French Society of Antioxidants (SFA) and the Japanese Society of Antioxidants (JSA) the International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition and Health (ISANH) decided to organize the 6th World Congress on Polyphenols Applications entitled ' Paris Polyphenols 2012'. The conference will emphasise two main topics being:
- Clinical Evidences 2012
- Polyphenols Valorisation from Fruits and Vegetables Waste
The Paris Polyphenols 2012 will be a two-days conferences will be on the three following aspects:
-Polyphenols & Health: Recent Advances and Clinical Applications
During this session, scientific experts will highlight the recent advances on polyphenols and their benefits on human health by presenting clinical studies on chronic diseases as diabetes, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases and many others.
-Polyphenols & Waste Valorisation from Fruits and Vegetables Processing
The aim of this session is to discuss how by-products of the fruit and vegetable industry (such as tomato peel, olive margin, paper waste, wine, beer, cider and palm industries) can be utilized for the recovery of polyphenols and other valuable components.
-Special Industrials Platform & Network Session;
During the session, the scientific committee will highlight latest advances and present innovative results and cases studies about how to use industrial waste as ingredients for all industrials like food preservatives, nutraceutical or pharmaceutical ingredient, cosmetic compound and many others.
The conference will bring together experts from academia and industries to debate on the latest scientific advances in the field of polyphenols and their uses to improve human health.Session topics will include:
-Processing Waste from Fruits, Vegetables and Oilseeds: An Overview of Sources, Phenolic Profiles and Potential Applications;
-Polyphenols from by-Products of Food Processing: A Industry Perspective on Current Opportunities and Challenges;
-Conventional and Novel Techniques for the Extraction of Biologically Active Compounds from Processing by-Products;
-Microencapsulation of Polyphenols Extracts from Processing by-Products;
-Adsorption Technologies for the Recovery and Fractionation of Polyphenols from by-Products;
-Practical case: Colour Retention of Anthocyanins using Phenolic Compounds from Distilled Rose Petals: Stabilization through co-Pigmentation by Phenolics;
Special Industrials Platform & Network Session
Industrial Platform & Network Session is a place created for every actor in Polyphenols chain. It is the simplest way to be in touch with the right person when you want and when you need. The platform will brings together stakeholders involved in polyphenols, and especially in the field of by-product Valorisation:
-Waste producers and suppliers, as all industrials from paper, wine, tomato, apple, olive…
-Waste Processing Industries, as extractors and manufacturers
-Ingredients Industries: Final Waste Users as agro-food and beverages, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, veterinary and animal industries and all industrials who can use ingredients from waste
