Training Course “FP7: Project Planning and Design, Management and Reporting"
The following topics will be covered in the training course:
Project planning and design:
• Introduction to the Seventh Framework Programme (priorities, specific programmes, funding schemes, main areas of research funded) and illustration of the Commission's proposal on the Rules for Participation to Horizon 2020
• Main functionalities of CORDIS website and of the Participant Portal
• Identifying Calls for Proposals and documents and using the tool to submit an application electronically (EPSS)
• Instructions to complete PART A Forms (concerning the administrative and financial details of the proposal):
1. Participant Identification Code (PIC) and Unique Registration Facility (URF)
2. Preparing the project budget
• Instructions to complete PART B Forms:
1. introduction to Project Cycle Management: the main elements in a project
2. objectives and expected results
3. constraints and assumptions, indicators of progress and sources of verification
4. tasks and timetable
5. description of the consortium’s management structures
6. socio-economic impact of the project and dissemination of results
• FP7 evaluation criteria.
Project management and reporting:
• From project planning to implementation: negotiations with the EC
• The start-up of the project: formal setting-up of the consortium (Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement)
• Internal monitoring, project scientific and financial reporting (SESAM, FORCE and NEF)
• EC evaluation and auditing.
The course specifically addresses the needs of professionals and project managers who are involved in the management of FP7 projects, both in the private and the public sector. The course can be an effective tool to help participants to successfully manage projects, as well as to further develop their internal project management strategies. It can also provide a good opportunity to network and to share good practices.
THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN ITALIAN. Courses can also be offered in English on demand.
