'Educating Europe - Educational Sciences Go FP7 and Beyond', Brussels, Belgium
The aim of the conference is to highlight educational research topics within the 'Socio-economic sciences and humanities' (SSH) priority area of the specific FP7 programme 'Cooperation'. The event will reference the 'Indicative strategic research roadmap' provided by the European Commission and bring together the respective international scientific community to foster cooperative research in the field of educational sciences.
During the first day of the conference, participants will receive first-hand information about the policy context, funding opportunities and forthcoming calls for proposals. A specific foresight session focuses on the societal need in 2020 and beyond, and corresponding research topics challenging educational sciences in the near future. Finally, coordinators of successful EU-funded projects in the field of educational sciences will share their experiences and their latest findings.
On the second day, participants will have the opportunity to discuss, in parallel sessions, the topics and challenges faced by the educational sciences, focusing on the 'Indicative strategic research roadmap'. The results of the discussions will be provided to the European Commission as scientific input for the preparation of the forthcoming SSH work programmes.
A matchmaking event, organised according to the conference topics, will serve as a basis of discussion during the parallel sessions and will, in turn, help with the setting up of FP7 project consortia. For further information, please visit:
