The refinancing for 1991 of a Dutch aid scheme for the stimulation of business oriented technology, Programmatische Bedreijfsgerrichte Technologie Stimulering (PBTS), was approved by the Commission earlier this month. The scheme covers feasibility studies, basic industrial research and demonstration projects. The 1991 appropriation totals HFL 124 million (ECU 53.4 million), to be divided as follows (HFL): Information technology, 24 million; materials technology, 45 million; biotechnology, 20 million; environmental technology, 35 million. Aid intensity is up to 37.5% of eligible costs but must represent no more than 25% of the real costs of the project.
