Optimizing impingement cooling


The aim of this project is to test different configurations of LPTACC pipes with a variation of the drilling pattern, the pipe geometry, the impingement distance, the airflow, the air temperature in order to develop numerical methods to predict heat transfer coefficient. Safran Aircraft engines will design the pipes and the partner will manufacture the pipes, design and assembly the test vehicle, conduct the test campaign, analyse the test result and develop the numerical method to predict the heat transfer coefficient.
