Capacity Building And Raising Awareness In Europe And In Third Countries To Cope With Xylella fastidiosa

Deliverables

Training material on comparative genomic analyses and NGS approaches for the analysis of the transcriptomes of host plants

It will be the result of the training on the comparative genomic analyses and NGS approaches for the analysis of the transcriptomes of host plants associated to differential disease response and the summer school to be held in Puglia. The ppt used during these sessions will be collected and made available

First report on the laboratories involved in the Xf monitoring and surveillance program in the participating countries

Preliminary report on the presence, facilities, mandate, staff of the laboratories involved in the Xf monitoring and surveillance program in the participating countries. it will allow to fine tune and organize the capacity building activities: on-the-job training, seminars on the set-up, safety measures and the needed equipments for the laboratories.

State of the art of of landscape-scale early detection of Xf outbreaks using remote sensing approach

in collaboration with all partners, there will be the state of the art of of landscape-scale early detection of Xf outbreaks using remote sensing approach available and in use. there will be a comparative study that will allow to better tune the training foreseen in this WP

Results of the study of biology, genetics and mechanisms interaction of Xf with different plant hosts

it will be a synthesis of the achievements concerning the following topics: * identification of Xf plant hosts and symptoms recognition * comparative analyses and NGS of Xf-host genomes interaction * Knowledge on host resistance\tolerance to Xf infection *Identification of potential vectors of Xf in different Mediterranean and European habitats *Ecological keys elements for Xf-insect vectors.

Training material on Advanced diagnostic tools for the detection and characterization of X. fastidiosa and associated vectors

It will be the result of the training activities to provide effective diagnostic procedures that will serve as tools for the early detection of new outbreak(s) and to implement the effectiveness of the control at the port of entry. The ppt used during these sessions will be collected and made available
