Objectif The work accomplished during the whole period of project development was basically in line with the original programme. After prototype construction the tests which were carried out confirmed the reliability of the vehicle. This prototype for tomatoes automatic selection storage in plastic container directly on harvest field is a step forward considering the advantages compared to the state of the art. That means: - manpower cost decrease and automation improvements on tomato harvest. - better raw material handling associated to quality improvements. - favourable environmental impact due to the lower percentage of crushed tomatoes.
