Objective
ICCI is a cluster built upon a set of IST projects related to IT in construction, with the following goal: to improve harmonisation and coherency of research and development, and thereby to benefit efficiency in IST projects, assist knowledge transfer to industry, and reduce time to market of exploitation. Indeed, deploying and using IT in construction is nowadays less a matter of cutting edge technology, than a combination of technology, organisation, marketing, legal frameworks and social impacts. It is the intention of ICCI to start paving the way to such combination for the construction sector, providing with a concerted support for the future implementation and deployment of new technologies in the Construction industrial context. ICCI provides an umbrella for improved co-ordination and broader dissemination of their results of the six following projects: OSMOS (IST-1999-10491), eConstruct (IST-1999-10303), Divercity (IST-1999-13365), ISTforCE (IST-1999-11508), eLEGAL (IST-1999-20570), and GLOBEMEN (IST-1999-60002).
