Cluster project on demand controlled hybrid ventilation in residential buildings with specific emphasis of the integration of renewables (RESHYVENT)

Objective

Objective of RESHYVENT is to integrate renewable and hybrid technologies in domestic ventilation systems by researching, developing and constructing four complete hybrid ventilation systems for different EU climate zones and by delivering a generic output to companies in terms of technical specifications and guidelines including market economical and social aspects. Work contains determining the impact of hybrid ventilation systems on GHG mitigation, energy use, IAQ, thermal comfort and noise and further application of renewable and low valued energy for heating and cooling; defining the parameters for controlling IAQ and thermal comfort; giving recommendations for standardisation. RESHYVENT is a cluster project of four industrial consortia (IC's) co-operating with a multi- disciplinary scientific consortium. The IC's are supported by scientific Support Units. Expected energy saving is 61,6 PJ/y and CO2 reduction 3.4 mton/y.
