Objetivo Materials Analysis Laboratory:This lab includes high resolution transmission electron microscope, environmental and other types of scanning electron microscopes, and sample preparation laboratory for specimen preparation. Process Laboratory. This lab is situated in a cleanroom environment including:1) diffusion, oxidation and ion implantation;2) lithography and mask fabrication;3) thin film deposition;4) dry etching and;5) wet chemistry facilities.Nanoparticle Equipment: The machine allows preparation of metal and metal-oxide crystalline nanoparticles (nanocrystals) in the size-range of several nm - several 10 nm and nanoparticle films. CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) and ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) Laboratory. Thin films of metals, metal-oxides, BN, GaN/AlN can be deposited in this laboratory by the above-mentioned methods.Magnetic Properties Laboratory: The instrumentation involves several SQUID magnetometers, a flux noise SQUID setup, a LakeShore ac susceptometer, a vibrating sample magnetometer, and a scanning probe microscope system that can be used in both AFM and MFM (magnetic force) modes.Optical Spectroscopy Laboratory:Several optical spectrophotometers are available in the wavelength range of 300 nm - 50 micrometer to measure transmittance and reflectance of samples. X-ray Diffraction Laboratory High precision diffractometers are available to use. MicroRaman SpectrometerA Renishaw 2000 system Micro-Raman spectrometer is accessible to operate.Application:Potential users are requested to fill in a simple application form, including describing their proposed projects.
