Objective
Recent studies have shown that characteristics of camel milk are very close from the mother's milk. Our project is addressing the both following situations and aims:
- To provide an innovative solution to parents with specific nutritional problem with their baby, - To provide efficient and "local" solution for infant nutrition through Third World, where camels are very present. The objectives are thus to develop the technologies and knowledge which will enable industrial applications for CAMEL MILK. The project will focus on the entire chain from milking machine, specifically designed for camels, to the transformation into powdered baby formula camel milk. The final product will be an effective nutritional solution in the following situations:
- Infants with cow or Soya-protein milk allergy,
- Infants with lactase deficiency,
- Infants who require a supplement or replacement of mother's milk,
- As emergency solution in large famine crises situations.
