Cel Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH’s) and VOCs like benzene, toluene and xylenes (BTX) are compounds of great social and environmental significance, are widely used in industry, in many different applications. However, they and can present serious medical, environmental, and explosion dangers. Because they are toxic even at parts per- billion concentrations, it is essential to know their concentration in the air, especially in industrial and populated areas. Measurement of these toxic compounds at trace levels in multi analyte mixtures is still a challenging task however, and involves the use of expensive laboratory bound equipment. This severely limits risk analysis and timely initiation of preventive measures in a working environment. The main objective of the INGENIOUS project is the development, evaluation and validation of novel ultra-sensitive and selective nanostructured optochemical sensors for the detection of PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene) from complex mixtures. Within the sensor concept, nanoparticle-based materials with high selectivity and sensitivity will be created by combining principles of molecular imprinting and plasmonic enhancement of molecular fluorescence. Silica and polymer core-shell nanoparticles with molecularly imprinted shells will be used as building blocks of self-assembling colloidal aggregates acting as chemosensing elements. The sensing elements and microarrays of sensing elements will be obtained using modern printing technologies such as ink-jet and microcontact printing. The combined sensor elements will be implemented on a polymer foil format and validated as sensor transducers. The technology will be incorporated into an in-plane optical read-out platform and demonstrated for specific end user applications. The suggested approach will be used to create sensor devices capable of detecting relevant analytes in industrial processes, occupational health and plants safety like PAH Dziedzina nauki natural scienceschemical sciencesorganic chemistryhydrocarbonsnatural scienceschemical sciencespolymer sciencesengineering and technologyelectrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineeringelectronic engineeringsensorsengineering and technologynanotechnologynano-materialsmedical and health scienceshealth sciencespublic healthoccupational health Program(-y) FP7-NMP - Specific Programme "Cooperation": Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies Temat(-y) NMP-2009-1.2-3 - Nanotechnologies – coordinated call with Russia Zaproszenie do składania wniosków FP7-NMP-2009-EU-Russia Zobacz inne projekty w ramach tego zaproszenia System finansowania CP-FP - Small or medium-scale focused research project Koordynator NEDERLANDSE ORGANISATIE VOOR TOEGEPAST NATUURWETENSCHAPPELIJK ONDERZOEK TNO Wkład UE € 615 250,00 Adres ANNA VAN BUERENPLEIN 1 2595 DA Den Haag Niderlandy Zobacz na mapie Region West-Nederland Zuid-Holland Agglomeratie ’s-Gravenhage Rodzaj działalności Research Organisations Kontakt administracyjny Iryna Yakimets (Dr.) Linki Kontakt z organizacją Opens in new window Strona internetowa Opens in new window Koszt całkowity Brak danych Uczestnicy (3) Sortuj alfabetycznie Sortuj według wkładu UE Rozwiń wszystko Zwiń wszystko AARHUS UNIVERSITET Dania Wkład UE € 450 000,00 Adres NORDRE RINGGADE 1 8000 Aarhus C Zobacz na mapie Region Danmark Midtjylland Østjylland Rodzaj działalności Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Kontakt administracyjny Sanne Olofsson Dolmer (Ms.) Linki Kontakt z organizacją Opens in new window Strona internetowa Opens in new window Koszt całkowity Brak danych UNIVERSIDAD DE VIGO Hiszpania Wkład UE € 283 750,00 Adres LG CAMPUS LAGOAS MARCOSENDE 36310 Vigo Pontevedra Zobacz na mapie Region Noroeste Galicia Pontevedra Rodzaj działalności Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Kontakt administracyjny Luis Liz Marzan (Prof.) Linki Kontakt z organizacją Opens in new window Strona internetowa Opens in new window Koszt całkowity Brak danych CENTRALNY INSTYTUT OCHRONY PRACY - PANSTWOWY INSTYTUT BADAWCZY Polska Wkład UE € 190 000,00 Adres CZERNIAKOWSKA 16 00 701 WARSZAWA Zobacz na mapie Region Makroregion województwo mazowieckie Warszawski stołeczny Miasto Warszawa Rodzaj działalności Research Organisations Kontakt administracyjny Anna Popielawska (Ms.) Linki Kontakt z organizacją Opens in new window Strona internetowa Opens in new window Koszt całkowity Brak danych
