Descripción del proyecto Coordination actions, conferences and studies supporting policy development, including international cooperation, for e-Infrastructures Mostrar el objetivo del proyecto Ocultar el objetivo del proyecto The e-Infrastructure Reflection Group Support Programme 3 (e-IRGSP3) supports the e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG). The e-IRG reflects on results and developments in the area of e-infrastructures. It consists of government appointed national representatives and was created in 2003. The e-IRG has reached a high ranking position as an independent advisory body in Europe in its field. It cooperates increasingly closer with the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), whose work it largely complements through its lateral domain. The e-IRG produces White and Green Papers, Roadmaps and other policy-related documents, covering the whole domain of e-infrastructures: networks, supercomputers, data repositories and grids. The e-IRG formulates its conclusions and advice in various ways. The e-IRG Recommendations endorsed by the e-IRG delegates are well received by the communities concerned as well as by policy makers and funding agencies and can thus have very serious impact.The e-IRGSP3 project builds on the experiences of previous e-IRG support programmes. It is lightweight designed focusing on the core requirements of the e-IRG. It provides the secretariat of the e-IRG community, supports the e-IRG Chair and Executive Board, organises e-IRG workshops and delegate meetings, and facilitates the engagement with stakeholders. The policy creating process of the e-IRG is supported by monitoring and analysing the state-of-the-art developments in the fields of interest of the e-IRG (at policy, technology, research, and socioeconomic level), thus conceiving ideas and input for the e-IRG policy documents.
