Final Report Summary - THESIS (Theology, Education, Scholastic Institution and Scholars-network: dialogues between the University of Paris and the new Universities from Central and Eastern Europe during the Late)
While endeavoring to maintain her own scholarly productivity throughout the period of the project, the PI also became a research enabler. She created opportunities for herself (obtaining a permanent position) and opened doors for other young colleagues from the field, for instance arranging for their frequent participation in the various workshops that have been organized during the project. The extraordinary success of this investment is reflected in the fact that all ten of the students involved in the THESIS team chose their MA, PhD or post-doc topics from the corpus of the THESIS project.
The five years of research in THESIS project opened up new perspectives and constituted the point of departure for discoving a fascinating unexplored topic (principia, a mandatory exercise practiced in the medieval universities) that provided the topic of the consolidator ERC project DEBATE that has been funded for the period 2018-2023.
