Periodic Reporting for period 1 - EcoBlade (EcoBlade: Eco-efficient decommissioning of wind turbine blades through on-site material shredding and separation) Período documentado: 2015-07-01 hasta 2015-12-31 Resumen del contexto y de los objetivos generales del proyecto Grant Agreement number: 6844691a. Publishable SummaryMethod for the eco-efficient decommissioning of wind turbine blades through on-site material shredding and separation. A test unit for the above method will be produced in our own new facilities. In this connection we will make use of a very integrated production with the most advanced CNC-techniques.The result of this will be that wind rotor blades now can be processed and separated in different kinds of original materials in an automated process. Trabajo realizado desde el comienzo del proyecto hasta el final del período abarcado por el informe y los principales resultados hasta la fecha Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so farA research has been carried out in the revalorization chains of the fibres. The separated materials will be used in innovative combinations. Added to certain other forms of synthetic materials the produced fibres will reinforce these and provide properties that will expand the range of possible uses. Avances que van más allá del estado de la técnica e impacto potencial esperado (incluida la repercusión socioeconómica y las implicaciones sociales más amplias del proyecto hasta la fecha) Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact including socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far.Until now, the decommissioning has been very difficult and ineffective, because it has been done manually with a very ineffective use of manpower. The strenuous manual work will be reduced which will be beneficial for the working environment. With our system, it will be done highly automated and in an environmentally friendly way that will not influence the surrounding community negatively. Further, the need for road transportation will be reduced thus minimizing costs for fuel and the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. images.jpg wind-power-generator-815518-960-720.jpg 06-vinger-266.jpg
