Periodic Reporting for period 1 - GAP60PTP (Gap Waveguides for Point-To-Point Wireless Links at 60 GHz and beyond)

The project focused on reaching two primary objectives:
a) Understand customer needs and requirements for 60 GHz RF front-ends in more detail and
b) Evaluate proposed mass production methods on commercial merits to verify the concept’s viability
The project was terminated after 4 months (out of 10 project months) due to the sudden pass away of the principal investigator and was not completed. However, with regards to objective (a) the project generated new customer leads and contacts, a better market understanding and industry knowledge. It also resulted in progress with regards to objective (b). A long-list of mass production methods was generated out of which a set of industry contacts led to cost estimates for the different techniques, as well as a preliminary indication of implementation effort, cost and feasibility.
