Objetivo
The aim of this project is to establish a metallurgical based simulation system to allow a prediction of the microstructure and the mechanical properties as a function of chemical composition and processing parameters. The project is focussed on high-strength thin sheet grades. All the important metallurgical processes during cold strip production will be investigated thoroughly concerning the impact of chemical composition. The subsequent modelling will be carried out starting form models for soft LC and IF grades presently under development in a running ECSC project. These models will be critically checked and adapted to the much broader range of chemical composition considered in this project.
