Best practice supply chains models for the humanitarian sector

Development of technical supply chain models for the humanitarian sector taking into account the uncertainties and additional actor in the different humanitarian supply chains (emergency response and development supply chains). This will be based on interviews at NGO’s and UN organizations and Argusi together with insights from literature and the IA’s specific knowledge.

Training and development in IA’s supply chain optimization and logistics collaboration skills (e.g. Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, ESR ArcGIS, Tableau and internal Masterclasses on Supply Chain Optimization and Horizontal Collaboration). Training and development in IA’s Dutch, project management, leadership skills, presentation skills, maximizing impact of research, translating research into practice and developing business plans. IA to develop and coordinate trainings to educate (new) Argusi employees on the business of Argusi Aid. IA to develop and coordinate trainings for knowledge transfer to and capacity building of humanitarian logisticians and other stakeholders on supply chain design, optimization and collaboration (planned 5 trainings in 2017).
