Objetivo
Co-digestion of high solid wastes appears to offer an opportunity for generating a usable fuel (biogas), improving fertiliser/horticultural characteristics of the digested product, and reducing the waste bulk requiring disposal.
This project involves assessing the feasibility of co-digestion of a variety of high-solids wastes in a small portable pilot-scale anaerobic digestion unit and the effect of treatment on pathogen survival rates.
