Objetivo The main aim of this proposal is to plan and develop a workshop on the impact of qualitative analysis in EU policies and the 6th Framework Programme based on the conclusions and recommendations of the accompanying measure Metrology of Qualitative Chemical Analysis which will be finished in April 2002. A modern basic approach to metrology of binary responses, the Quality Assurance principles and practices in this type of analysis as well as the identification of analytical tools and specific application areas are the basic topics to be disseminated in the meeting. A substantial part of the workshop will be devoted to discuss and plan the future cooperation of Newly Associated States through networking in the VI Framework Programme and in this way promotion the transfer of knowledge in measuring and testing.
