Objetivo AS THE ULTIMATE OBJECTIVE WOULD INVOLVE AN IMPORTANT EFFORT, THE FOLLOWING, MORE LIMITED, OBJECTIVES ARE PROPOSED: - TO MODEL THE MOST IMPORTANT CHEMICAL REACTIONS THAT TELLURIUM AND ITS COMPOUNDS MAY EXPERIENCE IN THE PRIMARY SYSTEMS UNDER SEVERE ACCIDENT CONDITIONS. - TO EVALUATE AND COMPARE CAPABILITY OF EXISTING COMPUTATIONAL CODES RELATED TO FISSION PRODUCT TRANSPORT (TRAP-MELT, THE APPROPRIATE MODULES OF THE ESCADRE SYSTEM OF CODES, VICTORIA) TO DESCRIBE, OR ACCOMODATE THE DESCRIPTION, OF TELLURIUM BEHAVIOUR. - TO INCORPORATE THE DEVELOPED MODELS IN A CODE SUCH AS TRAPMELT. VALIDATION WORK AGAINST INTEGRAL EXPERIMENTS AND SENSITIVITY STUDY OF THE SELECTED MODELS IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE PARAMETERS HIERARCHY WOULD BE PERFORMED. - TO EXAMINE THE POSSIBLITY OF DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING MODELS OF TE CHEMICAL PROCESSES REQUIRING COUPLING OF THERMOHYDRAULIC AND TRANSPORT CODES IN THE ESCADRE CODE PACKAGE, AND IN BEST ESTIMATE CODES SUCH AS VICTORIA. COMPILATION OF A SYNOPTIC TABLE OF LIKELY/POSSIBLE TE COMPOUNDS AND CORRESPONDING PROPERTIES FOR TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE CONDITIONS RELEVANT TO SEVERE ACCIDENTS. COMPILATION OF A STATE-OF-THE-ART REPORT ON TE BEHAVIOUR UNDER SEVERE ACCIDENT CONDITIONS, IN PARTICULAR ON CHEMICAL ASPECTS, FROM IN-PILE EXPERIMENTS, TMI AND SEPARATE EFFECT TESTS. ASSESS CAPABILITY OF CODES (TRAP-MELT, ESCADRE, VICTORIA, ETC.) TO ACCOMODATE DESCRIPTION OF TE PHYSICS CHEMISTRY. IDENTIFICATION AND SELECTION OF MODELS. IDENTIFICATION, IN THE SPECIFIC CASE OF TE, OF THE INFORMATION TO BE EXCHANGED BETWEEN THERMALHYDRAULIC CODES AND FP TRANSPORT CODES. IMPLEMENTATION OF SELECTED TE MODEL/S INTO A TRANSPORT CODE SUCH AS TRAP-MELT. VALIDATION AGAINST INTEGRAL EXPERIMENTS. SENSITIVITY STUDY OF THE MODEL/S SELECTED OR DEVELOPED TO DETERMINE HIERARCHY OF PARAMETERS.
