DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH PRESSURE FLEXIBLE PIPING

Objetivo

To design and develop high pressure flexible pipes to carry sweet and sour, diphasic, crude oil at temperatures up to 130 deg. C.
All objectives are met. Dunlop Limited is now able to market the following:
a) Lightweight rotary drilling hose
b) Kill and choke hoses
c) Fire resistant covers (optional)
d) Spoolpieces and jumpers for subsea and topside oil gas production
e) Vibrator hoses
f) Flexible connectors for rigid pipe systems
g) Well test pipes
h) Long length flowlines and risers (from Jan 1988).
To develop flexible pipes which will satisfy the following:
A) survive multiple rapid decompressions.
B) Operate at working pressures up to 15,000 psi.
C) Resist hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide.
