Measurements and testing (BCR): Areas 1, 2 and 3
The Commission of the European Communities makes a call for proposals for the specific programme of research and technological development in the field of measurements and testing (1992-1994). The call concerns Areas 1, 2 and 3 of the work programme: - Area 1: Support to Directives. - Area 2: Support for Standardization. - Area 3: Common Means of Calibration. Project proposals may be submitted by legal entities (public laboratories, private enterprises, research institutions and universities) which are located in the Community or, under certain special conditions, in other European countries. The Community's contribution will normally be limited to: 100% of the coordination and materials costs for intercomparisons; 50% of the costs required for the final phase of reference material certification; 50% of the cost required for the development of measurement methods. Where a project is in support of the application of a Community Directive, preference will be given to proposals involving laboratories with national responsibilities for the implementation of the Directive. In general, the participation in each project of laboratories from all Member States is required whenever it is possible. Detailed information about procedures for the submission of project proposals, the contract that will be established with successful proposers and background material on the research topics are available from the Commission's Offices in the Member States and from: Commission of the European Communities DG XII, Directorate C BCR Programme 75 rue Montoyer (room 3/60) B-1040 Brussels Tel. +32-2-2358333; Fax +32-2-2358072
