The Commission invites interested parties to submit projects for possible selection to receive financial support in 1993 in the context of the promotion of energy technology (THERMIE programme). Projects may be submitted from all four fields of application of the programme: - Rational use of energy: - Renewable energy sources; - Solid fuels; - Hydrocarbons. Community financial support may be granted for either innovatory projects (40% of costs) or for dissemination projects (35% of costs). The Commission will give special attention to projects which can substantially reduce emissions of CO2 in the Community. Special emphasis is also placed on low energy, low CO2 buildings, and on integrated urban traffic management systems. The compulsary procedure for submissions, including application form, is set out in the document "THERMIE 1993 -Background Information and Procedure for Submitting Projects" which can be obtained (written requests only) from: Commission of the European Communities Directorate-General for Energy THERMIE programme 200 rue de la Loi B-1049 Brussels Fax +32-2-2350577
