European Parliament hearing on the Community Animal Health Strategy and novel Vaccine Technology
Mrs. Avril Doyle, MEP and Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety(ENVI) will host a public hearing entitled, The Community Animal Health Strategy and Vaccine Technologies in the European Parliament in Brussels on Wednesday 13 February 2007 from 15.00 to 18.00. The event will focus on the fourth pillar of the recently published EU Community Animal Health Strategy, the support of Science, Technology and Research. The crucial role that technological developments can have in alleviating the negative impacts of infectious and endemic diseases in agriculture will be explored, including the latest developments in vaccine technology as enabling tools to achieve the goals of the Community Animal Health Strategy.
