Lithuania supports preperation of international research proposals

Aiming to stimulate Lithuanian participation in the international research programmes, Lithuania has launched a support scheme for national institutions.

The scheme supports participants in the EU's FP7, COST, EUREKA, EUROSTARS and the BONUS programmes. The national support rules were issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania in cooperation with the Agency for International Science and Technology Development Programmes (a national institution coordinating FP7 in Lithuania). The support for the preparation of the international research proposal amounts to EUR 7 000 for the project coordinator and to EUR 4 000 for project work package leader. Furthermore, Lithuanian participants can apply for the compensation of the related travel costs. The first call for proposals was launched on the 22nd of October, 2008.
