For the first time a formal meeting of the EU takes place in Israel. The meeting, as part of the activities within FP7, will take place on December 2nd 2008 with 50 European representatives coming to Tel-Aviv to participate. Holding this meeting in Israel is a precedent, as meetings of this kind usually take place in Brussels or in one of the EU27 capitals. This is due to the fact that ISERD – the Israel-EU R&D Directorate for EU FP - has been appointed as leader of the EU Mobility Network (Marie Currie Action), whose kick-off meeting will take place 3-4/12/2008. Dr. Georges BINGEN, Head of Unit - Marie Curie Actions, and Dr. Graham WILKIE Head of sector - Transfer of Knowledge will be attending the meeting in Tel Aviv as well as the "FP7 People Info Day" in Jerusalem, where they will be meeting its president Prof. Menahem Yaari. During the Info Day, 4 Israeli Marie Curie grant recipients will be elaborating on their experience. In FP7 Israeli researches won 94 Marie Curie grants reaching €10.7 million.
