Users of assistive technologies are called upon to voice their opinions
After having set up a large AT User Community and Expert Group, the project now intends to give a central role to the Users in order to understand their needs and requirements for Assistive Technologies. This will then help the MARE team to formulate technology foresight recommendations for the research community and EC decision makers. The study team is therefore kindly inviting all interested Users and User Associations to complete a brief questionnaire: the questionnaire is available on-line and downloadable on the MARE website (accessible via an information box on the home page www.mareproject.eu ) in English, Spanish and Italian, with three specific versions for each of the three user clusters: End users, Professional users and Public authorities. Replies will be processed in an anonymous way. Explanations are given on the website at www.mareproject.eu but for any further information or questions Users can write to: infodesk(at)mareproject.eu. Ira Vater from EBA, the project co-ordinator, commented, “When speaking about the future trends of Assistive Technologies, it is of prime importance to pay attention to the requirements of the elderly, disabled and persons with special needs. We are therefore grateful to all Users that give us a hand by completing the short survey.”
