Technical and legal assistance on competition issues
The European Commission, DG IV, has published an invitation to tender to provide in-house technical and legal services on competition issues in the fields of telecommunications and postal services. The services required relate to access problems to these recently liberalised markets. It is expected that the importance of such issues will increase as further liberalisation is introduced, until such time as incumbent operators no longer enjoy dominant positions enabling them to prevent or delay access by competitors. A detailed description of the services required is contained in the tender documents.
