The European Commission launches the Best ICT for Energy Efficiency Project Award

The Best ICT for Energy Efficiency Project Award represents a unique opportunity for any project in the field of ICT and Energy Efficiency to increase its visibility and to compete for the grand prize.

The Best ICT for Energy Efficiency Project Award represents a unique opportunity for any project in the field of ICT and Energy Efficiency to increase its visibility and to compete for the grand prize. The competition is open to any publicly funded research and technological development projects. Both National and Regional funded projects as well as European funded projects are eligible. The competition aims to promote innovation in ICT which will contribute to substantial and measurable improvements in energy efficiency, and which have the potential to provide visible and convincing showcases for investment by business, citizens or both. Projects wishing to participate must have a dedicated website. The deadline is August 31st 2009. The winner will be announced at the 2010 ICT4EE Event in Brussels. This initiative follows the success of the 2009 High Level Event on ICT for Energy Efficiency (2009 ICT4EE).
