European Space Agency (ESA) publishes Invitation to Tender targeted at Small and Medium-size Enterprises

ESA has issued under its Leading Edge Technology (LET-SME) instrument, an Announcement of Opportunities (AO6037) calling for proposals from Small and Medium-size Enterprises, to address requirements for innovative technologies and solutions. The call covers a variety of themes in ESA's space programmes. The deadline for submission is Friday 18th September 2009, 13:00 Paris time.

Leading-Edge Technologies - Business Opportunities Targeted at SMEs. The dynamism, flexibility and innovative capabilities of high technology SMEs are of high value to Europe’s space industry. ESA actively encourages this industrial group to become involved in its space programmes. The aim is to enable ESA, and the European space industry, to tap into the potential of innovative SMEs and to open up opportunities for them to work more extensively with ESA and its space contractors. The LET-SME programme is therefore open not only to SMEs who already have a significant business commitment to the space industry, but also to SMEs operating in other industries, and who feel they are in a position to address technology challenges which will maintain Europe at the forefront of scientific and commercial endeavours in space. Interested parties will find further information on the LET-SME ITT via the ESA EMITS homepage: http://emits.esa.int Please refer to Invitation to Tender number AO6037.
