EEC/Korea: Scientific and technical cooperation
On Thursday, 12 November 1992, the Commission, represented by Vice-President Filippo Maria Pandolfi, and the Government of the Republic of Korea, represented by Mr Lee, Foreign Minister, signed an Administrative Arrangement on scientific and technological cooperation. The Arrangement aims to increase the two parties' knowledge about their respective research activities in science and technology by means of exchanges of non-confidential information. For this purpose, it will be necessary, among other things, to organize joint seminars and visits to laboratories and research centres, to facilitate the exchange of publications and research findings, and to improve the possibility of access to non-confidential data bases. Technical workshops are to be set up in order to establish the areas in which cooperation beneficial to the two parties might take place and the means for achieving such cooperation.
