The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the UK has established a professional consortium to provide a customer-oriented, single-number helpline service to cover European Information Society (IS) Programmes. These include the Fifth Framework IS Technologies Programme and the non-Framework TEN-Telecom, INFO2000, MLIS and PROMISE Programmes. The UKISHELP helpline will open on 1 February 1999. The DTI will also launch a user-friendly website dedicated to the European IS Programmes.
