The European Environment Agency (EEA) wants to use general information products to introduce itself to groups currently unfamiliar with its work. The EEA has therefore recently published a call for the provision of video production services, to help make environmental information available to its potential users. The EEA also needs to produce video films on a regular basis, so it also wishes to establish a framework contract to ensure the availability of the services it requires. Individual video productions will be contracted through specific agreements within the context of the framework contract. The first of these will be to produce an eight-minute video promoting the EEA's activities. Short news releases and promotions videos will also be produced in tandem with the launch of key products. The work, to be contracted as the need arises, will go with a contract envisaged to last for up to five years. Items to be delivered under the first specific agreement must be completed before the end of 1999.
