Pre-announcement of the 2012 KORANET Joint Call on Green Technologies
KORANET is an ERA-NET project financed by the FP7 which aims at enhancing the S&T cooperation between the European Research Area countries and Korea. The second KORANET Joint Call will be open for proposal submission from 6 February to 6 April 2012. It aims at bringing together European and Korean researchers and scientists to do joint research on Green Technologies In order to foster green growth and emphasize sustainable development, the proposal will mainly have to deal with one of the following sub-topics: • Reduction of carbon footprint • Technologies for a sustainable development • Renewable energies and energy efficiency The KORANET Joint Call will fund mobility (travel and accommodation costs, costs for organising small scientific events, other smaller costs, personnel). The duration of the projects may be of 2 year maximum. Project consortia should consist of at least one Korean partner and two European partners from two different European countries participating in the KORANET Joint Call (Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey). Partners from other countries may participate if they secure their own funding. The overall budget of the KORANET Joint Call is of 2,108,000 Euro and follows a strict juste retour principle (national rules apply). The level of the funding may be up to 25,000€ per year per country. To launch the KORANET Joint Call, a partnering event to bring together selected European and Korean researchers will be organised in Seoul (Korea) on 6/7 February 2012. The partnering event will include a face-to-face networking session, where researchers can already discuss project ideas with potential partners.
