Registration is now OPEN for the Second Summer School addressed to researchers and SMEs water practitioners, held in Rome from the 24th to the 28th of September 2012.

The STREAM project (Sustainable Technologies and Research for European Aquatic Management), funded by the European Commission under the FP7 - Environment, is launching the Second Summer School to be held in the week 24-28 September 2012 in Rome. After the success of the first Summer School in Barcelona, STREAM is now organising the second one that will be held from the 24th to the 28th of September 2012 in Rome, Italy. It will be an occasion to bring forward the exchange of knowledge and the awareness on EU water research and technology state of the art, which are stimulated among researchers from universities, research institutes and SMEs. It will be an occasion for all participants to interact and share experiences and activities with high level experts. The Second Summer School is organised as a training of five days, for up to 30 participants, from the EU as well as its associate and neighbouring countries. Two days of practical visits to significant technology transfer centers in Lazio (Italy) are foreseen so that participants will be exposed to both theoretical and practical components of the School content. The main objective of the STREAM project is to contribute to make the point on the state of the art of the research funded by the European Union. STREAM’s aim is it to raise awareness on the finding of research projects through the organisation of various communication activities and will convey tailored information to specific categories of stakeholders. The project is coordinated by Minerva Consulting and Communication (BE) and participated by the European Water Partnership (EWP), Menon Network and Europe for Business (EFB), specifically for the organization of the Summer School. Young researchers (MA, PhD, Post DOC) from private/public research institutes and water experts from SMEs operating in the water technologies field are invited to apply for taking part in this Second Summer School. The applications for the Summer School can be submitted online until the beginning of June 2012.
