The European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products (EMEA) is calling for supply of IT products and services in relation to Year 2000 (Y2K) compliance. The EMEA is validating its IT systems for Y2K compliance. The purpose of the tender is to select an IT compliance system and implement any necessary corrective action. The provider of the service should have sufficient human resources so that, in the event of illness, substitution by a person with equivalent qualification will be possible. The provider should also have proven product and abilities in the area of Y2K compliance and implementation of corrective actions. Neither the firm nor its staff should be linked to the pharmaceutical industry and the firm should have the financial and economic capacity to undertake the contract.
