Please note that the following call for tenders has now been cancelled. It is replaced by a restricted call for tenders published in the Official Journal of the European Communities No C 34 of 6.2.1993 p. 23. Hence the following information is no longer valid and is retained for reference only. The replacement call, for preparation and organization of the ICT Conference for 1993, may be found on this database under the title "Organization of the information and communication technologies conference: Revised call" (Record Control Number 1307). The Commission of the European Communities, DG XIII (Information Technologies and Industries, and Telecommunications) issues a restricted invitation to tender to assist the Commission in the preparation and organization of the annual ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) Conference in 1993, 1994 and 1995. The work required from the contractor must be executed during the fourth quarter of each year. The contractor should be ready to start preparing the work in February/March of each year. Applications may be submitted individually or jointly. If two or more applicants submit a joint bid, one must be designated as the lead contractor and agent responsible. The lead contractor (who will establish a bank guarantee in favour of the Commission covering the deposit paid by the Commission) must be able to carry out the required work in any Member State of the European Community. The applicant must be able to assume the entirety of the requested service. Applicants must include a list of similar experience and provide proof of their competence in the specified fields, plus adequate information such as legal status, annual turnover, number of permanent staff, main conferences organized during the last two years plus a list of services provided in the context of these conferences. The invitation to make a bid will indicate the criteria which will be used for the evaluation of the tender.
