The team working on the European Commission's project on indices of environmental pressure (TEPI) has launched a website at: URL: http://www.e-m-a-I-l.nu/tepi/default.htm The TEPI project (Towards Environmental Pressure Indices for the European Union) is undertaken by a team of environmental consultants on behalf of the Statistical Office of the European Communities (EUROSTAT). It aims to calculate and present six top-priority indicators for different areas of environmental policy and their contributions to the Member States. The website is intended to increase the availability to the public of information about the project and to broaden the range of involvement from individual environmental experts and statisticians. The project organizers are particularly keen for European environmental scientists to visit the website and hope that this will lead to the discovery of more data.
