Emission control systems for motor vehicles
A study focusing on on-board diagnostic systems to control emissions from motor vehicles is sought by the European Commission, DG III. The study will assess whether there is a need to lower the threshold limit values of on-board diagnostic systems. It will also consider the feasibility of extending or modifying the application of on-board diagnostics in relation to aspects such as historical and vehicle performance, and use of alternative fuels.
