Causes and Consequences of Youth Unemployment: FP7 Project CUPESSE Releases Animated Clip

The interdisciplinary research project CUPESSE has released an animated short clip providing a quick and compact illustration of its project targets, methods and results. As the 4-year research project is slowly approaching its end at the beginning of 2018, the clip includes both a summary of the past work as well as an outlook towards the publication of project results and policy recommendations.

The 13 European project partners have dedicated their work to the comparative analysis of youth unemployment in different European countries. Addressing both employer demands and the educational and family background of young Europeans, CUPESSE aims to obtain a comprehensive picture of the causes and consequences of unemployment among young people as well as to formulate policy strategies and recommendations tackling one of the most pressing matters for European society today. Watch the project clip on the CUPESSE website (http://cupesse.eu/film) or on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_XNo48m3Mg). The final project meeting of CUPESSE will be held in Brussels on January 25-26, 2018. On the first meeting day, there will be a public presentation of the project results including statements from external experts and stakeholders. More details will be published on the CUPESSE website soon. www.cupesse.eu
