Research in new spatial development subjects: EUROPE 2000 +
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Regional Policy, DG XVI, issues an invitation to tender for a research project covering new subjects for the Commission communication "EUROPE 2000 +" (1993-1994). Following the issue of the document "Europe 2000" in October 1991, the Commission envisages producing, in 1994, a second communication on the development of the Community's territory up to and beyond the year 2000. The purpose of the research project is to identify, gather and analyze information on a number of subjects which will add to and complement the studies already being carried out by the Commission in the field of spatial development. Research will consist primarily of a number of small-scale studies plus the identification, collection and evaluation of existing information. The work will be carried out by a network of experts in each of these fields and coordinated by the contractor.
