The European Commission's DG XIII (Information Technologies and Industries, and Telecommunications) has issued the TIDE (Technology Initiatives for Disabled and Elderly people) information package and workplan for the 1993 call for proposals. The package contains information about the procedures for the submission of proposals as well as of the contract that will be established with successful proposers. Proposals must be submitted following the guidelines included in the information package. A Proposers' Day is being organized for 1993 in Brussels, for those seeking partners or unfamiliar with the work of the Commission. The indicative timetable being proposed is as follows: "Proposer Helpdesk" available (1-10 June); - Deadline for notification of intent (1 July 1993); - Deadline for receipt of the proposals (18 August 1993); - Results of evaluation (15 October 1993); - First contract negotiation (19 October 1993); - Earliest start of project (1 December 1993).
